2024 HBCU-UP PI-PD Meeting
The objectives of the HBCU-UP PI Meeting are to provide Principal Investigators, Project Directors, and others with an opportunity to: (1) learn about and share STEM research result; (2) learn about and share innovative strategies for recruiting, preparing, and retaining undergraduate and graduate students (3) learn about other grant opportunities at NSF; and (4) make new connections and create collaborations.
This meeting will be held March 13 – 14 at the Marriott Marquis in Washington D.C. starting on a Wednesday at 9:00am and ending on a Thursday at approximately 3:00pm. Tentative sessions will include workshops, working networking opportunities, breakout sessions and plenary sessions. Attendees can choose in-person or virtual registration.
The PI Meeting will include a virtual poster session for all attendees to share their research and findings, best practices, and disseminate models of exemplary projects. Poster sessions will include presentations on research and STEM education strategies, evaluation, and research. There will be no in-person poster session at the meeting. The plenary sessions and breakout sessions will include presentations on evidence-based STEM education, as well as NSF funding opportunities. For registrants who choose to attend virtually, the plenaries will be live streamed.
The HBCU-UP PI-D Meeting Registration and Abstract Submission site will open on October 2, 2023.
