Sharon Kennedy

Director of Manufacturing, Colgate Palmolive

Since July 2022, Sharon Kennedy has been the Sr. Director of Manufacturing for the Colgate Palmolive Cambridge Home Care plant, In this role, she is responsible to provide overall plant leadership for delivering the site’s operational strategy to drive growth, service, and agility. Sharon has over 20 years of experience in Colgate in various R&D roles across different categories. She has previously worked in and led teams in Underarm Products, Hair Care, Oral Care , Device Plus Chemistry and Measurement Sciences and Innovation. She has over 55 patents, and numerous awards. She is a STEM advocate and currently serves on the board for NOBCChE. She has been an active member and contributor to NOBCChE for more than 25 years. She has participated as a planning chair, science bowl volunteer, committee chair, industrial exhibitor/sponsor, and vice chair for the board. Sharon’s superpower is laughter, she believes in people and is a learner for life. Sharon joined Colgate in 2002 as a Research Scientist. She holds a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a BS in Chemistry from North Carolina A&T State University.
